How to Choose Gear

Choosing the right gear is the key to a successful and safe hike. We've prepared a brief guide to help you choose the essential equipment.

Tents

Pay attention to seasonality, capacity, and weight. Light trekking tents are suitable for summer hikes, while expedition tents with a sturdy frame are best for winter and high altitudes.

Backpacks

Volume depends on the duration of the hike. For weekend trips, 30-40 liters is enough; for multi-day expeditions, choose 60-90 liters with good back support.

Sleeping Bags

The main parameter is the comfort temperature. Check the weather forecast for your region. Down sleeping bags are lighter and more compact, while synthetic ones perform better in wet conditions.
